  • Monitor for signs/symptoms of pneumonia in patients at risk
  • Monitor serum K+ in patients on high dose steroids/xanthines/diuretics
  • Monitor serum electrolytes
  • Re-evaluate therapy in active or quiescent pulmonary tuberculosis
